Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. TUNZA conference for children and youth
Today, the UNEP TUNZA conference on ?Reshaping our Future through a Green Economy and Sustainable Lifestyles? kicks off by focusing on the theme of Green Economies.

This conference is organised by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) that will have 1400 young people participate from 100 countries. It?s aim is to discuss the role of young people in sustainable development and to provide youth input to the upcoming United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. The also are creating the ?Bandung Declaration? which will outline expectations for Governments from Rio+20.
