Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. WB sustainable development director arrives in Azerbaijan
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. World Bank?s director for sustainable development dector Peter Thompson is arriving in Azerbaijan.

The Baku-based WB representative office informs that the visit will take place from 15 to 22 October. He will be accompanied by curator of the agriculture subdivision in this sector Dina Umali-Deininger.

Within the visit the WB experts will focus on current and future issues on the sector of sustainable development, including agriculture. Mr. Thompson is preparing to finish his career at the Bank, and this is his last visit to Azerbaijan.
