Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Progress in the support to National Preparations

These training sessions will be used as opportunities for sharing of experiences and peer learning on the national preparatory processes; and gathering of case studies and good practices in sustainable development, and feed into Regional as well as National levels input.

Interested UN entities can participate in these workshops and share information on where and how they are engaged in supporting national preparations.
