Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Sharing Our efforts to prepare for the Rio+20: Iberoamerican Congress on Integrated Coastal Zone Management
Dear Rio+20 Participants,
It is our pleasure to announce that today, Friday January 27th, the "Coastal Zones: 21st Century Challenges? Working Group gave a presentation at the "Iberoamerican Congress on Integrated Coastal Zone Management " in Cádiz, Spain. Our group was represented by the Working Group Coordinator. This Congress provided an opportunity for Us to share Our efforts with those in the Iberoamerican community who are deeply concerned about the challenges facing coastal zones and the Rio+20 goals. Yet another step forward in our goal to advance together toward Rio+20!
