Accommodation levels in Rio de Janeiro are anticipated to be at full occupancy during the conference. While it is not the responsibility of the United Nations to procure accommodation for the media, it should be noted that the Brazilian national organizing committee for Rio+20 has committed to blocking a minimum of 500 hotel rooms in Rio de Janeiro for media covering the conference. Rio Environmental Democracy Initiative (Principle 10) Google Group!
This public Google group is a means of communication for all of the Principle 10 advocates and interested parties to use to coordinate for Rio. The aim is to (a) provide a place to share documents (proposals of text, websites, etc.), (b) provide a place to coordinate statements on Principle 10 for major groups statements and interventions, and (c) to coordinate lobbying strategies around P10 promotion.
