Achievement of Commitment

We agree to support the following actions:
A) Teach sustainable development concepts,
B) Encourage research on sustainable development issues,
C) Support sustainability efforts in the communities in which we reside,
D) Engage with and share results through international frameworks,
E) Green our campuses by the Green Plan (in place since 2009 to 2015) with an annual reporting will assess the related developments.

How this will be achieved

1) Energy efficiency and Greenhouse gas reduction
Engage with and share results through the City-wide Climate Plan

2) Travel plan and schemes for all staff
21 propositions to reinforce this plan, notably with 4 main axes:
a) Develop safe practices for walking and cycling
b) Favour the use of public transport
c) Encourage car sharing
d) The “greening” of vehicles used, with lower carbon emissions (Purchase hybrid cars for the managers of the university, car share, electric bicycle….)
e) Improvement of sites accessibility for disabled students and workers

3) Green IT
In 2011, L'UJF became the first French university to obtain recognition for its participation in the « code of conduct for data center »
Proposed creation of a shared eco-responsible infrastructure (Data centre)
