The page with green economy policies, practices and initiatives is located under the Resources section of the United Nations Rio+20 website and provides a geographical database of polices and practices related to the green economy.

The database distinguishes between geographical scope (i.e. Regional, National or Local), whether or not they are government or non-government, and what sector they relate to (based on 9 priority areas). All policies and practices that are submitted must be directly related to green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication.

The Rio+20 Secretariat has developed a web form so that Member States, Major groups and United Nations entities can voluntarily submit their green economy policies, practices and initiatives. The Rio+20 Secretariat is also in the process of populating the database and will update the database on an ongoing basis.
